From the winter semester 2026/27, tuition fees will apply to students from non-EU countries, amounting to €500 (bachelor's degree) or €700 (master's degree) per semester. You can find more information in these FAQs.

Graduation ceremony
Every semester, HM Business School organises a graduation ceremony for the previous semester’s graduates.
At the start of a new semester, we receive lists from the Examination and Internship Office detailing which students graduated last semester. Please bear with us on this – the previous semester must first be finalised before we receive the details of the graduates.
We can only invite those students whose details have been sent to us to the ceremony; unfortunately, it is not possible to bring the graduation ceremony forward or postpone it. The cut-off dates set by the Examination and Internship Office are 30 September and 14 March. Your marks must have been entered and finalised by your lecturers via Primuss by one of these dates at the latest for us to be able to invite you.
It will take a little while for the invitations to be sent out, as we need to organise the celebration. You will then receive your invitation by email at the personal email address on file in Primuss. Please ensure that your email address is up to date. A link in the email will allow you to register yourself and your guests for the celebration.

At the end of each lecture period (January/February for summer semester enrolment and July for winter semester enrolment), the allocation draws for the bachelor's degree in Business Administration modules 4.2, 5.2, 5.3/6.3, 6.1, 6.2 and 7.1 take place in Hamster.
The allocation processes will run over a total period of approximately two weeks and will take place at different times for the various modules. The exact dates will be announced in good time here on the website and via Hamster.
How do the prize draws work?
Students on the bachelor's degree programme in Business Administration (BABW) may take part in the allocation process via Hamster during the specified period (to be found in Hamster under ‘Course Selection Process’) and must select and prioritise a pre-set minimum number of modules within a given module.
Immediately after the enrolment period has ended, the ‘allocation of places’ takes place; places are allocated by random draw in Hamster. As some modules are more popular and are prioritised more often than others, not all students can be allocated their first choice or their preferred place.
Once the allocation process has been completed, any remaining places will be made available and students can register directly for these places or join waiting lists (1–2 entries per module).

If you have completed your bachelor's degree with fewer than 210 LP (but at least 180 LP), you must successfully make up or provide evidence of the missing 30 LP within 12 months of commencing your Master’s programme.

A practical semester is optional for students pursuing a master's degree and can be undertaken as an additional semester following the second semester of study.
If you wish to complete an internship to make up the missing 30 LP (for a bachelor's degree comprising 180 LP) or have an internship you have already completed subject to academic credit transfer, you must do so within 12 months of commencing your Master’s programme. How does the election work?
In PRIMUSS, you usually select your 1st OR 2nd specialisation, which you would like to study in the following semester.
If you have NOT yet chosen a specialisation, please select your first specialisation (as is standard for the 5th semester).
If you have already chosen your first specialisation in a previous semester, please choose your second specialisation (as is standard for the 6th semester).
ONLY if you have not yet chosen a specialisation and are planning to take modules from both your first AND second specialisations on an individual basis, should you select your first specialisation AND your second specialisation in PRIMUSS.
practical semester:
If you intend to undertake the practical semester but have not yet received confirmation of a placement or certainty regarding your plans by the end of the selection period, and would like to take the specialisation module as an alternative, please take part in the selection process via PRIMUSS. If you do not end up taking the specialisation module because you decide to undertake the practical semester after all, please ensure that you select your options again in PRIMUSS during the following selection period so that you are included on the current lists.
