A Master of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences Munich will provide you with a thorough and hands-on education at the highest quality level. This master program leads you directly to the very core of new business models and processes. It will provide you with the skills and expertise to meet the significant business challenges resulting from digital transformation and new technologies. You gain a deep understanding of major digital technologies such as AI, Big Data and IoT, and you learn how to navigate in a digital and international business environment. The learning methods applied match the program’s objectives: real-world tasks presented by business partners are solved with a lab-based approach. The Learning Lab, the Co-Innovation Lab and the Research Lab prepare you well for your career in research, business development or change management positions. Your expertise will be crucial for any business that has to close the gap between management and technology.

A graduation in the Master specialisation Digital Technology Management qualifies the graduates for a career as specialist and future management staff in the areas of technology management, project management, product management, digital business strategy and business/market analysis. Due to the practical approach and the subject-related learning methods, the graduates stand out for their knowledge transfer and cooperative teamwork abilities.
Each of the three semesters of the Master Program Digital Technology Management has its own focus. The first semester will provide you with in-depth knowledge about research methods, relevant technologies, financial strategies and agile management practices. The second semester concentrates on the economics of digitalization and digital business development. The third semester is – besides the preparation of your Master thesis - devoted to an extensive research study on technology management and a real-life co-innovation project for a digital business case.

Our master students have the possibility to spend several months abroad if they wish: you can join an international company to focus on onsite work or write your master thesis in collaboration with an international company. Thanks to the intercultural design of the program you will be well prepared to work in foreign countries.
The semester abroad can take place after the second semester of study. There are usually more applications than places available abroad, so Master's students must go through a selection process. A place cannot be guaranteed.
The specialisation in Digital Technology Management provides you with excellent career options. From experience we know that most of our Master graduates start their professional life immediately after obtaining their master certificate.
The program in Digital Technology Management prepares you for a wide range of management positions. Technology management, project management, product management, digital business strategy, business/market analysis and innovation have job profiles suitable for you. Equally, you might consider a career as consultant or become an entrepreneur in an innovative start-up enterprise.
The information session for the program start in 2026 is expected to take place in April 2026 via Zoom. The exact date will be announced in advance.

To apply for the program you have to meet the following requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree certificate and transcript from your business administration studies (or a related discipline). A final mark of “good” or better, German grade: 2.59 or better is required.
- Evidence of achieved 210 ECTS credits of a bachelor’s degree with at least six theoretical semesters. If you have less than 210 ECTS but a minimum of 180 ECTS, the missing 30 credit points must be successfully completed/proven within 12 months of starting the Master's degree program (see information sheet).
- Good knowledge of English B2 level: Competence language level “B2” established by the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is necessary, as modules are taught in English. No evidence is needed.
- Evidence of a minimum of 20 ECTS credits of study modules maths and/or statistics and/or economics
- Aptitude Test with proven record of success (upon invitation in July, ususally one week in advance, please check your spam inbox)
- If you have a foreign Bachelor degree, you need to upload a VPD issued for our university from uni-assist . Make sure to apply to uni-assist early (until 31.3.) due to the processing time. (Also see our FAQs )
- If you have a university degree from outside the EU, you must have passed the GMAT, which is sent directly to us. (there is no minimum score)
Video: Admission requirements / How to apply?
The aptitude test usually takes place in July. The exact date and content will be announced in spring 2026.
If your application meets all admission requirements, you will receive an invitation email to the aptitude test with further details at least one to two weeks before the date. Please keep the entire test period free until then.
If you have successfully passed the aptitude test, you will receive your admission notice via Primuss approximately 1-2 weeks later.
If your application does not meet our admission requirements, you will not receive an invitation to the aptitude test. The official rejection will only be sent after the aptitude interviews in July (via Primuss).
The application period for the Master of Science in Business Administration generally runs from May 2 to 31 of each year for the following winter semester.
