Cooperation project „Social Selling” with HILTI

As part of the bachelor module “B2B Marketing & Sales”, four student teams from HMBS are working together with Hilti on the conception of an international social selling strategy by HILTI employees.

HILTI is a specialist and market leader for fastening technology, tools, software and solutions in the construction industry. With around 34,000 employees worldwide, HILTI generated sales of around CHF 6.5 billion in 2023 through direct selling.
Last week, the student teams presented
- their intermediate results of a best-practice analysis,
- their findings derived from employee interviews from three different countries
- together with first ideas of a matching social selling strategy
directly at the HILTI R&D and production site in Kaufering.
Afterwards, we were invited on a factory tour of the chemical dowel production, the HILTI fire protection equipment and the drill production halls. With Hans Jörg Schwarz and Peter Schüder - former Hilti production engineers - we had excellent and experienced guides over the entire 165.000m2 (!) factory site.
