Subject choice and course structure at HM WITHOUT a bachelor’s thesis abroad
Choosing subjects whilst studying abroad
You will study abroad for two semesters (equivalent to 60 ECTS) and transfer these credits here in Munich. Depending on the partner university, a list of subjects will be available for you to choose from. At some institutions, a fixed structure is prescribed. The requirements for this are set by the partner institutions. To discuss the subjects briefly with us in advance, the courses are set out in what is known as a Learning Agreement.
Erasmus: the Learning Agreement is a mandatory requirement for Erasmus funding. The subjects must be agreed with the Excel list before the Learning Agreement is completed. Further information can be found here .
NON-EU: Please use the NON-EU Learning Agreement (PDF)
If you are enrolled on a programme abroad that does not include a Bachelor’s thesis, you must still take the following modules at Hochschule München either before or after your studies:
Courses in the 5th or 7th semester at HM WITHOUT a bachelor’s thesis abroad
*To stay within the standard period of study, you have the option of writing your Bachelor’s thesis immediately after completing your studies abroad. This may extend the duration of your studies. However, as the academic terms at our partner universities do not correspond to ours (semesters at partner universities usually end in May/June), it is often possible to submit your thesis in line with the academic term.
